Linuxconfig.org Editing Policies:
All users need to comply with the below linuxconfig.org editing policies:
- No affiliate or advertising links (this is a non-for-profit educational portal)
- When submitting or posting information, content must be of a high standard of quality. All submissions are reviewed for quality assurance.
- Please note that after one year’s time, if there is no activity on your configuration page, Linuxconfig does have the authority to remove your posting. Inactive accounts will receive a reminder message before this occurs.
- At no time can participants of the portal copy and paste materials from copyright pages.
- All content submitted to Linuxconfig.org must be related to a particular linux open source project or Linux itself.
In Addition
Because Linuxconfig.org is an open source project, users have the ability to add onto and change the work you have posted. This is to assist in the evolution of different projects and help them meet their full potential. However, we do understand that not everyone is as skilled as others when it comes to developing. Some individuals may even login to your account change configurations in a malicious way.
In order to combat this and make sure projects remain at a high level of quality. Linuxconfig.org will send out an email to the account manager each time a change is made to their web page/configurations. This email will state the changes and allow account managers to save the changes or revert back to their original page previous to the changes.
- Any participants not found in compliance with Linuxconfig’s editing policies will be warned and then removed from the portal depending on the infraction.
